Most companies treat security and compliance as a tax: something you pay to avoid bad headlines. I think that's a failure of translation. Locked-down laptops and unread policies don't make a company safer, they make people route around IT. Molte aziende trattano sicurezza e compliance come una tassa: qualcosa che si paga per evitare brutti titoli sui giornali. Per me è un errore di traduzione. Laptop bloccati e policy mai lette non rendono un'azienda più sicura: spingono le persone ad aggirare l'IT.
Done well, they're a speed advantage: passing audits without panic, closing enterprise deals faster, onboarding an engineer in hours instead of days. That translation, from controls to outcomes, is the job I've chosen.
